The Ultimate Guide to Alchemy, Crafting & Enchanting is a comprehensive companion for not only magic items, but organically integrating item creation into your 5E games. Rise through the ranks of the associations that oversee the varied studies of alchemy, crafting, and enchanting. Each rank comes with new recipes and benefits, but be careful, because if you don’t adhere to the association’s principles, you could fall into bad standing, or worse.
Don’t worry – for the rule-breakers and rebels, there’s always the black market… Finally, this book contains tables for the harvesting and foraging of ingredients, hundreds of recipes for both new and existing items, and 200 brand new, ready-to-use magic items. With this guide’s help, you can become a master crafter, and forge some of the most powerful artifacts the realms have ever seen.

Just grabbed this along with the Magic Item Compendium cards. Looks great, and I’ve been searching for something expansive to overhaul 5E’s crafting.

Okay full discloser i got this a part of the Labor day sale, that said if you are looking for a expansive crafting system that will also add some depth to your game world then this is the book for you.
Honestly the main meat of this book is going to be hundreds of crafting recipes that can be found within, within you can find recipes for things as common as a healing draught or chain mail to things as marvelous as the deck of many things.
The book’s appendix even gives a listing of which monsters produce the various crafting material’s that these recipes need.
Other then just giving your players a expansive system for crafting, enchanting and alchemy, the book also introduces templates you can use to create legal associations and underground organizations for such jobs in your world.
Joining these associations will give players access to a new a ranking system that is kept separate from the main leveling up system, but also have principles that act as rules for players to follow such as banning cerein recipes for being too dangerous.
The Underground on the other hand is a crime organization that does not have any principles or ranking system to deal with but will have players deal with guards and infiltrators to the underground as well as making it a bit harder to find training.
On top of having a ranking system for Crafting, Alchemy, and Enchanting, their are also specialization within these jobs that players can take to help focus their skills as well as quest’s tied to such specialization’s.
Finally it should be noted that the book also has a compendium for new magical items and potions for players to have fun with.
(Their recipes being recorded alongside all of the the base games recipes)

Excellent book, and will be of great use to my table. This has even given me ideas for NPC Shopkeepers, as well as encounters when a PC wants to do something specific. I have several players who have been asking to get into Alchemy, Crafting as well as Improving armor.
The one thing I wish this book included was a section on Stone Masons, or Stone Working. I may end up adapting something from the Woodworking section, but it would have been great to hand that player the book and have him come up with things on his own.

Really happy to have a complete process already laid out. I’m definitely the hunter gatherer type and having a way to use items we find is so much more immersive.

I have wanted to include crafting in my game well for a while. I have resources that help me harvest and give some details to creating things, but I struggle with a level 5 creating massive items. This concerns go out the window here. This is a well put together resource that helps to make sure that your players not only get to craft, but also grow their characters. If characters can create whatever, they become powerful and weapons, potions, etc. mean less. But if the party has to pick someone to pursue, your party grows together. What a great way to grow the party! Thanks again Nord.

I knew I was going to like this book but I was shocked at how good it turned out to be. The amount of extended crafting rules, coupled with a very easy to understand crafting progression, is so intuitive and so fun that this will forever be a part of my D&D games moving forward. My players are excited to start working on their new crafts and I’m excited to craft quests linked to this new system.

Not only is the book designed beautifully, with high-quality binding, paper, and printing, but it is both comprehensive and elaborate in the material it discusses. The book contains four d100 tables: weapons&armor, rings&wonderous items, rods/staves&wands, and potions/poultices&poweders-which I have been using for random treasure/loot grabs for my players. Each item is thoroughly detailed, with stunning art, and nothing seems vague or without purpose. 5/5, additionally: the package arrived in good condition, on time, and the contents of my order were individually wrapped and protected, arriving in perfect condition.
