We at Nord Games are a group of highly skilled and creative people dedicated to the designing and publishing excellent gaming content. We are huge fans of Card Games, Board Games and Role Playing Games from other publishers, but we also enjoy creating our own material based on our own needs and desires.
Chris Haskins (CEO, Creative Director)
Chris spent much of his childhood playing the old standards such as Monopoly, Risk, Chess, and other such board games. At the age of 16 he was introduced to Dungeons & Dragons and his life changed forever. With a creative mind and some basic art skills; Chris created exciting adventures that took place in a world of his own making. Pretty soon his room was full of dice, hand drawn maps, pewter miniatures and stacks of notebooks containing epic adventures. These days Chris runs a weekly D&D game which takes place in that very same world he created all those years ago.
Andrew Haskins (Creative Contributor)
Andrew spent much of his free time during and after college playing card games, board games, RPGs, and miniature war games. His extensive Mordheim collection doesn’t get a chance to collect dust as the minis spend more time on the battlefield than they do in storage. Andrew’s favorite board game is Settlers of Catan because of its resource management and strategy elements. He most often hosts a game setup with two special edition sets to create unique islands and enforces a few house rules that make the already excellent game even more fun.
Ralph Stickley (Creative Lead, Editor, Layout)
A keen player of both video and tabletop games, Ralph entered the world of tabletop RPGs at university with a group of friends from his acting course. A few years later, he and Chris conceptualised the Ultimate NPCs series together and, after a few online courses, Ralph was working on the layout and creative design of the books, as well as his original writing role. Ralph enjoys quiet evenings of boardgames (and wine) with friends, with a particular favourite being Betrayal at House on the Hill.
Alyssia Haskins (Creative Contributor)
Alyssia enjoys many different board games, card games, and RPGs, but she enjoys team games the most. She has helped her husband Chris run Nord Games ever since he and his brother Andrew created it. Most often she helps flesh out ideas for new games, play test prototypes, and fulfill customer orders.
Lou Fryer (Creative Contributor, Editor)
Lou became involved in Dungeons and Dragons as soon as Ralph’s core rulebooks arrived at their university flat, and straight away started playing a runaway Eladrin princess! She, like Ralph, is also an avid video gamer, reader, board game player and tea-drinker. Though she enjoyed writing characters for ‘Ultimate NPC’s: Skulduggery’, she would describe her main responsibilities as being a sound board (and judge of) Ralph’s ideas, tutting at other people’s inferior grammar, and despairing at having to write things with American spelling.
Scott Bayne (Sales Rep)
Scott has been involved with gaming for 20+ years starting when he purchased his first D&D Basic Set at a yard sale for 50 cents and still owns to this day. He currently lives in beautiful Western North Carolina with his wife Joy, and their two cats, Angel and Totoro. He likes to keep himself busy by playing table-top games, video games, and hiking. He has a diverse background that spans both the technical and artistic fields, holding associate degrees in Technical Theatre, Electronic & Computer engineering Technology.
Andrew Geertsen (Lore Master, Artist, Writer, Designer)
Andrew spent his life loving games of all types; video, board, etc. This was compounded upon when he went to college and got his degree in Game Art & Design. Since then, Andrew has become somewhat of a renaissance man, wearing many hats as his work has required. He finds a lot of the time that his mind lingers on thoughts about game design, memorable moments in stories and the things that get us to love the games we do. He currently is in a weekly D&D campaign and regularly games on his PC. He also, as might be expected, is a big fan of TV shows such as Game of Thrones (though the books will always beat the show), and fantasy literature. Most importantly, he is a husband and father, living in San Jose, CA with his wife Jessica, and son Thayne.
Chris Wolfe (Artist, Modeler, Painter)
Chris has been painting and gaming for nearly 40 years, and for him, miniatures and terrain are integral parts of the total roleplaying hobby. From his first dice roll at the age of 7, (huddled over lead miniatures and D&D book, with plywood shield strapped to arm and wooden sword in belt), Chris has ever been improving his miniature worlds; striving to bring a realism to his games in which one can lose themselves to the fantasy of wondrous realms and titanic deeds.
