The Settlement Generator is a system-neutral digital Oracle RPG module for creating trading posts, villages, towns, cities, capitals, and fortresses. It is a settlement builder for game masters, storytellers, and writers, and works with D&D 5E or any fantasy RPG.
How It Works
Based on our Spectacular Settlements sourcebook, the module walks you through generating a settlement from the ground up, covering the choices that make a place hold together: its size and type, who governs it, how it makes money, how it defends itself, and the people running it. Use it to fill in an existing setting or to build one from scratch.
Every detail works the way a rollable table does, except you tap a button instead of picking up dice. Take the random result or choose the option you want, detail by detail, until the settlement is finished. It runs on mobile, so you can build a town on your phone between sessions or generate one at the table when the party wanders somewhere you had not prepared.
