About Nord Games

Nord Games is a tabletop RPG publisher based in Santa Cruz, CA, founded in 2011. We make supplements for game masters and players: monster sourcebooks, ready-to-run NPCs, worldbuilding guides, encounter and treasure card decks, magic item compendiums, and crafting systems, for 5E Dungeons & Dragons and for system-neutral play.

What we believe about game prep

Most of our books exist to answer one question: what happens when the players go somewhere you didn't prepare? The Ultimate Bestiary series gives every monster a culture, an ecology, and ready-rolled encounter groups instead of a lone stat block. Spectacular Settlements, Dangerous Destinations, and Wondrous Worlds build your world at three scales, from a single crypt to a whole continent. Our card decks, like Treasure Trove, Treacherous Traps, and Critical Rolls, put loot, traps, and critical hits in your hand so you can deal them across the table instead of reading them from a page.

Formats for the way you play

Our titles come as premium hardcovers, instant-download PDFs, physical card box sets, and bundles that pair print with digital. Free previews are available across most of the catalog. Titles marked 5E are compatible with both the 2014 and 2024 rules, and our system-neutral books work with Pathfinder, Shadowdark, Daggerheart, Draw Steel, Tales of the Valiant, and any system of your own.

Oracle RPG

Oracle is our digital toolkit that puts the catalog on your phone at the table: tap-to-roll generators for settlements, monsters, and magic items, virtual card draws from our decks, and searchable reference compendiums, with no books to carry.
