Nine environments are covered: Deserts, Forests, Mountains, Plains, Swamps, Tundra, Underground, Urban, and Waterways. Each entry gives a titled encounter and a short general description, then four specific options beneath it, so you roll a d4 or pick. An Ambushing Monster in the Desert becomes an ankheg, a sandworm, a bulette, or a dune mimic, each with its own behaviour.
Entries can be filtered by combat, exploration, or roleplaying, and combining two produces something more eventful. The full version is available as an instant-download PDF of rollable tables, as a 420-card physical box set of nine tarot-sized decks, as a bundle of both, or as a digital Oracle module for your phone.
Being system-neutral, it works with 5E D&D, Pathfinder, Shadowdark, Daggerheart, Draw Steel, Tales of the Valiant, or a system of your own.
