The Accursed Linger
Beyond the reach of death, perverse and profane, they watch, and wait, and grow hungry…
Ultimate Bestiary: The Dreaded Accursed presents a variety of the classic undead and cursed creatures, including ghosts, ghouls, liches, lycanthropes and vampires, fleshing out their origins, habits and habitats, and introducing a wealth of stat blocks to challenge your players from level one to the end of their adventuring careers.
So search for them if you must, but beware, for far worse fates than death await…

So, this product JUST came out, but I already love it. Much like Revenge of the Horde, it provides multiple CRs for different undead (and otherwise creepy) monsters to replace the garden-variety creatures from the MM.
Struggling to make skeletons a challenge for your high-level PCs? Look no further; The Dreaded Accursed has different skeletons ranging from 1/4 all the way up to 20.
Do you want to use liches before tier 3 play? The Dreaded Accursed has you covered. You can use a lich with a CR as low as 7 (and there are different TYPES of liches (Apocryphal, Blight, Profane).
I’m looking forward to utilizing these creatures in all my campaigns. Thank you, Nord! I can’t wait for the physical copy to arrive as well!

Got this book in PDF as part of a KickStarter. It is really beautiful and really interesting. As a GM, this is definitely a book I want in my Toolbox. For me, the flavor text is really great. I find that a lot of the WoTC books are just too slim in trying to save on page count. So if you are looking for more details on motivations, roleplaying, etc. (and tons of stat blocks), then this book is really great.

It shall come as no surprise, that Nord games has done it again. Not only is this supplement flexible to fit any game setting, the book itself is flexible to give options to not only the game master, but also the player with the racial and class options that while are not the main course, make a great appetizer.
From the simple zombies, to the dreaded liches, and malformed mongrelfolk in between this product is a must for those who desire a dark flavor of fantasy, whether is spicing up a pre-written module, to being a central cog in a homebrew setting.
What ever bestiary they’ll unleash next, I’ll gladly buy.

Another incredible 5e compatible product from Nord Games! The scalability and variety of the creatures in each chapter is incredibly useful. Each section also includes origins, environments, combat tactics, and roleplaying tips for the described creature. All the little details are nice touches – lore, “found” notes, suggested encounter tables – and of course the art is exquisite! Any DM should own this bestiary to add a little fright to their games.

Exactly what I am looking for from a Nord games product. Full of detailed lore, an interesting variation on monsters, and the ability to make skeletons threatening at higher levels. Can’t wait for my physical copy from the Kickstarter, will be well-loved.

Kickstarted this and been waiting for it for probably months now. Super excited to get it. Make and feel of the book is great. And the content is awesome. So many new creatures and old (but with more details and flavor text). I am super excited to use it for my next undead encounter or dungeon.

This is the first Nord book I have purchased. I have bought other 3rd party creature D&D books in the past, for other editions, and this was by far a superior book.
I recently ran a short adventure revolving around undead from the standard Monster Manual, and it was bit repetitive- This book greatly expands upon the standard undead.
There are different versions of skeletons & zombies, more powerful wraiths & wights , and even options for Player templates.
(PC killed by a wight and raised up as a zombie? Slay the wight and free your companion as an awakened dead race)
I can’t speak to the balance of the player races, classes etc until we try the out, but overall I am very impressed with this book. I’ve already incorporated it into my current adventure (goblin zombies, a wight warrior, and a ritual to become a wight upon one’s death)
Great Job!

I very, very frequently use Undead in my campaigns. This book is absolutely perfect for people who want to run some horror.

Love this book! I haven’t gotten to run it yet,but the art and quality of the book is excellent! I have read the story’s that accompanys each chapter and there great, they follow a seasoned monster hunter and his apprentice through there adventures as they take on the monsters in the chapter. It reads like a noval and a good one at that, in fact ive read worse ravenloft books than these stories. Being s fan of fluff a d lore this books got it in spades! Another thing i really like about this book is the character options chapter stats on becoming a zombie or vampire werewolf and more is really nice too. I think if your looking to add horror to your games you’re not going to get better than this book!

The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is due to a lack of variety for many of the undead. Skeletons for example we got basically stronger skeletons with more attacks etc. What about the fantastical effects like exploding skeletons, magic-infused skeletons, bones with special properties, etc? The fact that basically everything was just melee based – more HP and armor – was kind of a letdown. Overall quality of the book though is great as always. I’d rate this somewhere below Revenge of the Horde however.
Matt Oliver –
I love this book! It provides an assortment of CR levels for all of your undead needs so that you can craft the stories you want without having to rework or reskin monsters to fit your needs. Plus, the book is gorgeous, with extra lore and a diary-style story woven throughout the book. A fantastic addition to your DM library for extra flavor or just to throw off those experienced players who think they’ve seen it all.

Finding new ways to include existing monsters in unique and exciting ways can sometimes be challenging, but the lore and elements included here make an ideal and unique addition to the collection! Is it bad that I am contemplating ways to endanger my players? Maybe, but there are ideas on how to incorporate cursed and dead PCs in these pages as well……

I bought this book (PDF) back in November on drivethru, and I have to say I really wish I would have gotten the Hardcover book as well. I’ve gotta say one of the most well done bestiaries’ I’ve read in a long time. After browsing through it I came here and signed up. The Team at Nord games did an outstanding job!

If you like things that go bump in the night, this book is for you! It highlights why Nord Games writes some of the best product out there!

So handy! I’m hoping to use this with a certain famous vampire campaign we have going as a recurring one-off for certain holidays with my players. I like the option of having a PDF on my phone as I do a lot of my books in digital format. Very awesome content!

I really like the variety of undead and was happy to see various other kinds of “accursed” creatures. I think it will really help flush out encounters

As a DM, this guide is really handy for adding variety and spice to the standard and sometimes unspectacular monsters you find in the MM. There’s a variety of undead from wights to skeletons to zombies and many more; there’s also story bits as an interesting guide through the book, as well as ways to turn PCs into part of the thriving monster categories you see here. Definitely worth picking up, especially if you like undead and horror based scenarios!

This is a fantastic bestiary. All lore, artwork, and monster stats are amazing and must have for any DM.
