The monster cards are just random tables with monsters who could be in that area. I don’t really find it that useful but I like the traps and treasure cards.

Unstick yourself with these super cool cards! I like having a few good monsters with varied difficulty I can pull out of my ass as a result of my neighborhood murder-hobo going super off script.
I find shuffling and dealing out cards easier to manage than chasing dice across a desk and then searching a static table.
