I am redoing my review as the great support team was able to take care of my delivery issue and I got the products I had ordered!
These cards are great! Each one has a small snippet of lore to help you incorporate the random encounter into your game. There are a ton of different monsters on the cards, and each card is themed differently. I do wish that the cards would include monsters in other supplements, such as Volo’s guide or even Nord Games own products that include new monsters, but most company’s follow this approach. Maybe even an expansion deck with cards specifically from other supplements would be a great addition!

I have plans to use this deck for the next portion of my campaign where they have to defend their castle while attacking enemy forts. While traveling to the forts or taking leisure time, who knows what will be Wandering!

This deck helps me twofold. First, when planning encounters in advance and need a hand with figuring out some variety. Second, when I have some time to fill at the table and hadn’t planned enough, this is perfect to get a balanced encounter going with little effort.

Since I’ve purchased these cards I’ve admittedly become a bit lazy in my encounter planning. I would have to say that roughly 85% of encounters in our campaign now are from a draw from the deck, quite often on the fly. I feel the more random elements to the game the better, now if only I could find a random room generator deck of the same quality and format.

These are really cool. The best part is the description. Sometimes I only use them for the details. I will look at them and make the encounter based off of the card and then use the way they describe the sounds and looks to immerse my players deeper. Some are pretty bad a.. and I would not have thought about describing the creatures or its sounds that way. Great tool.

I use this Deck everytime my players go sidetracks and I need an encounter for them. It’s really useful for DMs that don’t prepare everything in advance, especially players going sidetracks!
